Community Outing to a Garden and the Lake

On Sunday we had an outing with some of the community from the Monastery. After Divine Liturgy and our regular potluck lunch those who were going caravaned down to Sheboygan and went to a children’s garden called Bookworm Garden. Once we were finished enjoying the beautiful grounds everyone had worked up an appetite so we went to the grocery store where we picked up some fried chicken, sandwiches, and other refreshments. We drove over to Lake Michigan where we had a nice picnic dinner together and the kids enjoyed the very cool waters and beach. It was a much needed fun day out, spending time with the kids and some of our fellow community members. What do you do to build community with your fellow church members?
